The Coherence Dimension

Patterns

There are three problematic patterns in the Coherence Dimension—Rigid, Foggy, and Distracted. You may click on each link to learn more about the pattern and then decide if you want to explore it, now or later.

The Rigid Pattern involves being so rigidly focused on one thing or one way of thinking that there is no room for creativity or new ideas.

The Foggy Pattern involves being spaced out, sleepy, confused, lost in thought, separated from your body, or dissociated in other ways.

The Distracted Pattern involves being distracted by noises or other stimuli, thinking about irrelevant things, or otherwise losing your focus on the issue at hand. (This pattern is not in STJ yet.)

Capacities

There are two complementary healthy capacities in the Coherence Dimension--Clarity and Creativity. You may click on each link to learn more about the capacity and then decide if you want to work on developing it, now or later.

The Clarity Capacity involves being able to think clearly, see what is going on, understand yourself, and be aware of your experience in the moment.

The Creativity Capacity involves being able to think outside the box, allow artistic and other creative expression, and forge into new territory. (This capacity is not in STJ yet.)
